Specific processes we've employed in the interest of maintaining our strong commitment to the environment are:
- Hazardous Material Disposal - All waste paints, solvents, cleaners, filter and other manufacturing by-products which pose a potential threat to the environment are disposed of exclusively by utilizing contracted professional third-party service providers w ho are certified as meeting the highest standards and regulations set for by the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Environmental Protection Agency.
- Manufacturing Waste and Scrap Recycling - Through our careful design and layout, we effectively minimize the amount of scrap material, then recycle it.
- Ballast and Transformer Disposal - We use state-of-the-art technology called The Bulb Eater to dispose of all our fluorescent lamps. The Bulb Eater machine crushes spent fluorescent lamps of any length into 100% recyclable material. It also captures over 99.99% of the vapors released! It holds approximately 700 pounds (around 1350 4' fluorescent lamps) of spent material. Once full, the container is properly sealed and disposed of through our environmental disposal company.
